Design Principles - OUGD404

As part of a a task set during the design principles session we had to think of different ways of categorising letterforms, and as a group we came up with 5. Serif, sans serif, script/calligraphy, handwritten and serif bold.

However, after doing this we looked into different ways of categorising the letterforms and found that it is best to categorise them in terms of where they came from and what kind of material is used to make them non digitally. These categories are stone, sable, bone, wood, lead and silicone.
